Hi,

I was wondering where you got the MCP2003B from? I'd prefer a DIP8 but can't find any 🙈

Greetings Markus

It looks like Microchip only makes the MCP2003B in surface-mount packages.

For my prototyping I used the MCP2003B in the SOIC-8 package, on one of Adafruit's SOIC-8 breakout boards: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1212 .

The MCP2003-E/P is an older chip but it's available in a DIP package: https://octopart.com/mcp2003-e%2Fp-microchip-18190209?r=sp . I haven't tested it, but it may work in a similar way. Depending on which variant you choose, you may need to hook up some of the secondary signals differently.
