In the first instance, @aornugent has implemented an option for exponential decay of seed rain with patch age. This allows you to limit recruitment to the first (early) cohorts, which is useful wen for example studying something like self thinning.
Longer term, we may use the spline API being developed for environmental variables to upload a custom seed rain.
