Automatic scrobbling not working but manual syncing works #476

Hi,

I am trying to run Trakt with PlexMediaServer-PlexPass on freeNas. I followed the installation guide and successfully installed Trakt by copying Trakttv.bundle to the appropriate folder. Trakt, now, is shown in the channels in Plex. And I can manually sync everything from my Trakt account. The problem is with auto scrobbling. It does not work. And also every now and then I got an exception error in my messages in Trakt channel in Plex. Attached is my latest log file.

Thank you in advance for helping me.

Any help is much appreciated. Not being able to use Trakt with my new Plex server has basically stopped me from using my PMS.

Thanks

Maybe this will help someone.... I learned something interesting tonight. I thought the plug-in was broken (has been working very well for months). But it turned out it was bad data. Somehow I ended up with more than a dozen movies that imported without YEAR in their info.

Digging through the trakttv.log file found here %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Logs\PMS Plugin Logs\com.plexapp.plugins.trakttv.log

I noticed these lines: 2018-02-03 00:14:33,982 - plugin.sync.core.task.artifacts (279c) : INFO (plugin.sync.core.task.artifacts:1159) - Invalid "title" or "year" attribute on <u'Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy' (None)> 2018-02-03 00:14:33,983 - plugin.sync.core.task.artifacts (279c) : INFO (plugin.sync.core.task.artifacts:1159) - Invalid "title" or "year" attribute on <u"101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure" (None)>

So the plug-in wasn't failing, my movies just had bad data. Refreshing the metadata in Plex on those titles, which clearly did not show the missing date, fixed the problem.

All is well now.

Another possibility, which happened to me, turned out that my Synology DS213 NAS was no longer powerful enough and the result was it couldn't scrobble, but if I did a sync manually, it was fine I upgraded to a Synology DS216+II and it's running fine, with everything copied over, not re installed
