A near-repeat of a previous issue:

echo 'OutputPath => ( {\(my $o = undef) } )' | perlcritic --single Variables::ProhibitUselessInitialization

Fatal error while critiquing "SCALAR(0x1240520)": Can't call method "isa" on an undefined value at /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/Perl/Critic/Policy/Variables/ProhibitUselessInitialization.pm line 138.
