Multiple actions in a page

Many times we come with the problem of multiple actions on a single page. Apart from real estate issues, it emerges a more significant problem of de-emphasizing the main action for the user.

An extracted principle from this or similar issues: One page, one value

Note for me: The principle one page to rule them all as platforms, products and services are getting more complex seems problematic and UX should serve as an efficient mechanism of cleaning complexity and asserting the real value to the user. Todo: revise & elaborate for txds principles

Agree on above principle, and would like to add one more aspect on this.

We need a rule regarding prioritization of actions on the same value. What happens in case that many actions can be performed for the core value of the page?

• Should we display ALL OF THEM?
• Should we display the top X and hide everything else under a "more" link?
• Should we ONLY ALLOW X actions and if we get over this limit means that we should revise the value of that page, and split into two pages?
