Reference - Map Matching style by grade color scheme #486

Adding this issue here for future reference and research.

With Map Matching, there is an option to style the line by the weighted grade. The color scheme goes from green to yellow to red.

This may mean that a segment of 0 max grade and 0 min grade would be styled with yellow. The connection to the "energy" needed for bicycling (where downhill is green) would not really be known here.

In traditional slope maps, green indicates the flattest areas with least relief. Perhaps it would make sense to use a diverging color scheme here where perhaps it goes from blue (like below sea level) for downward to green on flat segments and red on upward slopes. We can chat with the cartography folks to see what would be expected.
