Yes facing this. Any guidance would be most helpful. I have also tried creating a custom instagram provider on similar lines since I needed to show album names separately. But even with that this issue persists. As soon as I uninstall Instagram app on the mobile phone and try the issue goes away. Any guidance would be most helpful. @arturi @ifedapoolarewaju @goto-bus-stop
IIRC @ifedapoolarewaju looked into this a while back, but we don't know a way to work around it yet.
Ok thanks.
This is still happening. I'd love to help, any pointers on where I should start looking? Is it the Instagram app intercepting the links using intentions or something similiar?
After further inspection, the same happens to Facebook, when using Facebook's own in-app browser which is being forced upon the user when opening links (Newsfeed or Messenger) or clicking on ad-links. This is a major deal-breaker.
Just tested this it and it works with the apps installed
Works for me too with Instgram app installed on iOS
But I think this is an issue on Android so I'll reopen this
As seen in the included gif, when using the Instagram implementation in the example an empty screen is shown at the end of the authentication process. In the gif a choice if given between Instagram and chrome. This choice doesn't matter for the result neither does setting either application to handle the action by default. This only happens when the Instagram application is installed on the phone, if it's not installed it works fine.
When switching back to the example the view with "Connect to Instagram" is still shown.
