Then we need someone volunteered to help design the icon first 😅
Right then ^^
I just emailed the author of this Transmission remote control for android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.yupol.transmissionremote.app
Hope that's okay.

@scporse Can you please give us the link of the app you mentioned? Better with GitHub page or at least Google play page, thanks.
In case you missed the edit of my first reply to you, here's a URL to the app I was referring to: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.yupol.transmissionremote.app
@scporse cool, thanks
It would be even better if transgui could pick icon from current DE theme. If there no such - use default built-in.
So as I mentioned earlier in this issue thread, I went ahead and contacted the developer of the transmission remote control for android directly, to inquire if he would be okay with you guys using his app icon. The developer, Yury, actually replied to me quickly thereafter, and let me know that he would be just fine with it :)
Without any further delay, then, you'll find his reply pasted below, and underneath that section, my closing response to him.

Hi!
Is your application an Android app (could you send me a link, can’t find it by serching on GitHub)? If it is and once you publish your app in Google Play we will have two apps with the same icon, which will be confusing. Otherwise I don’t mind if you use icon.
As for licensing, I hired freelancer on Upwork to make this icon, so I assume there should not be issues with licensing.
==================== MY RESPONSE TO YURY:
Really cool that you're willing to share the application icon! 😊
And no, it's not an android app but instead a desktop transmission remote (multi platform): https://github.com/transmission-remote-gui/transgui
Since you're okay with us using your icon, I'll go ahead and forward your response to the Transmission remote gui developers so that they can get in touch with you directly without me as the "middle man".

@PeterDaveHello Any news on this feature request?
Hey @scporse, sorry for the late reply, I just found the app repository on GitHub here: https://github.com/y-polek/TransmissionRemote
So I assume we could directly discuss with its author to get confirmed ;)
before that, I'd like to ask comments from @transmission-remote-gui/core, see if @leonsoft-kras & @antekgla both like this idea :)
I really don't want to nag you guys about this, but it has been over 4 months since your last update, so I'm wondering if anything's happened in the meantime?
@scporse this would be a nice to have but not a must, all of us work on this project in our spare free time, so can't tell you it'll be landed in a month or something like that, but will try to get it done asap, thanks.
@y-polek would you mind that we can confirm with you here at GitHub issue that the icon we can use without issues? Many thanks!
FWIW: Its Apache 2.0 without a NOTICE file, so you dont necessarily need his agreement or even credit him in the distibuted file (though I think it would be nice to do) as long as the icon file stays apache licensed.
@PeterDaveHello I don't mind you guys using the icon. @chkuendig is right, the project is under Apache license, which, to my understanding, allows you to use parts of it freely.
@y-polek thanks 🙏
I would really like it if the transmission remote gui application icon could be changed somewhat, so that it's not so easily confused with the regular transmission client app icon (which it is identical to, as of now).
