Why is transmission reporting DHT errors on some files and others work well?

What is the issue?

I am running transmission-daemon 3.00 (bb6b5a062e) with transmission-remote 3.00 (bb6b5a062e) on Raspberry Pi 64bit Bullseye over openvpn using surfshark.

I get a lot of those error messages and I read through some threads that suggest that it might be a problem which will be solved when the code is finished beeing refactored.

IPv4 DHT announce failed (firewalled, 455 nodes): Success (tr-dht.c:737)

However, I wonder why some of my torrents cause this error while others run fine (in both direction).

Maybe somebody can link me to a description so I can read about what is going on.

This code has recently undergone some updates. Please try this again with 4.0.0-beta.2 when it's released and lmk! :smile_cat:
