When I use the Import IEDs
function, then I get at least the schema valid
confirmation.
Import IED won't overwrite an existing IED

Hm, I do not follow. What is the purpose of the Import IED
function? Simply importing configured CID files? The import filter allows IID files. I suppose this is one of the documentation tasks.
It is to import a non-existing IED into your project.
Thanks.
I tried to import an IID file into an existing SCD file via the
Import IED
function. After selecting the IID file, nothing happened, so I am not sure if the import actually worked. Try to import the IID file into the SCD file in the zip file below.Import IID file.zip
