I created a new SCD file with multiple IED's and added each device LPHD to the Substation view BusPhysConnection function . Then I wanted to make modifications to the B30 template. So I removed the two B30 IED's from OpenSCD and imported fresh templates. The LPHD reference got damaged, but not removed.
I deleted the two LPHD and added the LPHD from the newly imported B30 relays to make it work again.

The Remove IEDs process also removed the LPHD or,
The Substation has a better view so that the user can immediately identify which device belongs to the LPHD LN.
