I store these mergerfs-tools in a utility docker container (https://github.com/mediadepot/docker-fs-monitor/blob/master/Dockerfile) to manipulate my mergerfs drive in CoreOS
If you're interested, I'd be happy to add a stripped down version of that Dockerfile to this repo via a PR, and help you add an auto-build job on Docker Hub.
