Simply try to run 

dumpgenerator.py --api=http://pt.memory-alpha.org/api.php --xml --images

dumpgenerator.py --api=http://pt-br.gumball.wikia.com/api.php --xml --images

Thanks for reporting. It's a problem with Wikia's skin and our script checking 
for things that we incorrectly thought a skin would not modify. Works for me 
now after r829.

For the records, the generator tag exists since MediaWiki 1.13: 
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:Code/MediaWiki/36797
Older wikis will hopefully have one of the other two things we check for, or 
we'll need something else (please report).
