Like Kenwood's TH-D74, the Yaesu FT-991A is well documented but unsupported by other codeplug tools. Use this issue to track development of a driver for it, after the TH-D74 is completed.

We can now read some memories from the radio, but the documented commands don't seem to report either the squelch tone or the shift direction. Changing the channel and then fetching it from the live state might be possible, but will be very slow.

Some reverse engineering notes are in the CHIRPW issue tracker, as the RT Systems software uses undocumented commands to read the radio's memory directly. https://chirp.danplanet.com/issues/2531
