Extending "basic" privacy key length. #892

So I'm looking for a 2nd DMR radio and like where MD380 is and where MD2017 will be at. I have a GD77 now and it supports "basic" privacy with "32" (8h) and "64" (16h) keys. Judging by the key lengths they are incompatible. Since these are all tytera radios with similar FW/CPS, what's the chance that GD77 privacy is the same as MD380 "basic", just with longer keys. Is it possible to match it on the MD380 side?

I don't want to have to buy an identical radio, but do want "encryption" options.

I'm terribly sorry, but the issue tracker is not for feature or support requests. Please try the mailing list or the IRC channel, or just buy the radio and try it out.
