much appreciated! and thanks for the link to the upstream issue. judging by the conversation in https://github.com/simdjson/simdjson/pull/2113 i'm going to merge these even though i can't test a debug build right now. i'll test out soon, maybe tomorrow now that https://github.com/ziglang/zig/issues/17996 has been fixed. i'm just waiting for that commit in the tarballs.
