[Feature Request]: Branch protection against deletion #6372

I would be great to be able to protect a branch from Deletion. It always feel daunting to be just a click a way from irreversibly wipe out the wrong branch and it's data :-(

I am still very interested in this feature !!! Deleting branch cannot be un-done so a protection against accidental deletion would be a good feature. All cloud infrastructure have those kind of protection for production environment
