9 months ago I think it looks pretty good. It's been a while since I've looked at this project, but the changes look like they are mostly in the build workflow at the tests pass, so...
I only had on question on what "pin_compatible" actually does.
maybe using this to initialize conda: https://github.com/coin3d/pivy/blob/master/.github/workflows/test-env-action.yml#L23
