Can't change Port Number or Device in OSX #7

Open ygreq opened 5 years ago

Hi, Trent!

I edited the settings.xlm file, saved it, but the setting in the BrainWaveOSC once I reopen remain with the old settings. I tried changing the port number and the device address, but my guess is that it does not save any new setting. I tried all the versions of the app. I am on MacOS 10.12.6

We can also see a video recording on wetrasfer: https://we.tl/t-ENa7vkuUDr The link will be available for 2 weeks tops.

Thank you for looking into it

A few people have had similar issues on osx. If you right click the app 'show package contents', have a dig around in there, a few have said the settings.xml saves in there instead of default location.

Hi Trent! I couldn't any other settings.xlm file anywhere else in the package. Any other ideas? Or can you pinpoint me to where the other discussion was happening so I can ask there?

Thank you!!

I'm having the same issue. Did anyone solve this issue?

Had the same problem. As a workaround I used this in the shell: sudo ln -s /dev/tty.MindWaveMobile-SerialPo /dev/tty.BrainBand-DevB
