If the current month has 30 days, then selecting a date with day=31 from the drop-down menu is impossible.
The image shows that August has only 30 days. This is because it was started with today's date (Sep 4th).
There's a workaround: if I type an August date, I can then select the 31st in the drop-down menu. But obviously, that's not a good solution.
