Can't Import History Export #214

I've really enjoyed and depended on ARC for a couple years now. Searching and
resubmitting complicated historical requests has been a lifesaver.

Unfortunately, I'm now migrating to another machine and my thousands of
historical requests cannot be exported and imported. I've never set up any
projects. I suspect I was using ARC before "projects" were introduced/working?
Any chance you could let me import your exported JSON history file?

Steps are very easy to reproduce...
1. Install new instance of ARC (to simplify for testing)
2. Submit the default sample request (e.g. youtube playlist)
3. Click the "History" link
4. Click the "Export history to a file" button
5. Click the "Download file" button
6. Save the file locally
7. Click the "Settings" link
8. Click the "import/Export Manage" button
9. Click the "Choose File" button
10. Select the newly saved export file
11. Click "Save imported data" button
12. Observe "Data save error" alert

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Ideally the imported data would just be inserted into the history collection
and would be backwards compatible with the history data I've currently
generated through ARC.

On what operating system, browser and browser version?
OSX 10.9, Chrome 30.0.1599.69

Please provide any additional information below.
If there are instructions for migrating my browser data under the hood that
would work too!

Thanks!

Any update on this issue ? I guess it is almost a year this issue was raised
and no response is annoying.

I can't believe that an export is offered when an import is not working.
Especially when the "Clear History" button does not ask any confirmation from
the user before it delete your history. If you press it... bye bye history. No
second chance. Disappointing functionality for such a good tool
