We need to have way of defining the scale of images, probably in meters per pixel. That way we can make sure that high and low res images maintain the correct proportions. We’d also be able to automatically create a scale bar.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a good idea how this would work. I suspect we don’t want to go to full-blown web mapping, but that might be an option long-term.
If images are GeoTIFFs we could auto-scale a batch of images uploaded together. (i.e. 30 m/pixel Landsat data displayed 10X as large as 3m/pixel Planet Imagery.)
