CFX (octopus) Device does not have enough free memory #1007

Hello, I was mining CFX (octopus) without problems, and I started to have the following error when running T-REX:

"TREX: Can't find nonce with device [ID=0, GPU #0], Device does not have enough free memory to hold the DAG for epoch 65. Required: 5.02 GB, free: 5.01 GB."

I have a GPU "Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060, 6143 MB" I understand I can still mine CFX. Do you know what is causing the error?

Hi. Something else is occupying the memory, or the driver just won't let T-Rex process allocate enough memory - in case you're running Windows. If the latter, switching to Linux may help.

Or try to enable CPU graphic, if you can... and force BIOS to use it.

Thank you very much for your help. I tried anyway but couldn't fix it, I think I'll have to upgrade to a better gpu. Thanks again :)

I have 2 rtx 2060- 1.Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 OC edition. 2.Zotac Gaming RTX 2060 unable to mine conflux now with t-rex miner... able to do it before when i was having only 1 gpu.. tried everything almost.. increasing paging file , enable CPU graphic etc. but gives the same error... Then i switched to NBminer and i have no issues... I can now mine conflux with NBMiner but not with T-REX... It is not gpu fault... it has something to do with T-REX itself. Please fix it or someone please help. I love to use T-REX

Thank you very much, I was finally able to mine with NBminer. We'll have to wait for them to fix it to get back to t-rex. Thank you all!

Why did you closed this issue...? It is not solved yet......!!! Please reopen it... So that t-rex and other's can look into this issue

Agree with @fsala3991 It still is an error and can't use the DUAL mining option in this way. Paying 1% fee for the use of Trexminer. Please look into it @trexminer

Is anyone able to mine cfx with a2000 6gb

Hi everyone! I am facing the same issues you have with A2000 6GB. While the calcs give very good numbers for CFX(Octopus) mining I am getting memory error on both T-Rex and NB miner. My rig is running on HIVE OS with 8gb ram and 8x A2000 6gb cards. I tested with 1 card only, but got no luck. Please advise is it possible to mine Conflux now with 6gb card or I should just give up trying and change over to other algo/coin?

Isnt it joined with the DAG size - about 5.95GB? The 6GB cards are not able to work with it...
