Hi, not sure what could cause it, but one weird thing I noticed is the GPU#0 typically consumes 260W+ whereas after the connection was restored it would only go up to 142W - no surprise why the miner thinks it hit LHR because it's probably hashing ethash at a significantly lower speed than usual. My guess it could be some power related (or driver) issue that throttled the GPU and tricked T-Rex into thinking it was constantly hitting LHR. I doubt it's a T-Rex bug (still possible of course) given that the second GPU was behaving normally.
@nrpeyton check the NVIDIA driver. I experienced this a few weeks ago. Somehow the NVIDIA driver auto-updated and was causing the LHR to decreased to similar values.
Hi,
While dual mining Alephium and Etherium, one of two cards LHR unlock decreased from 74.6 to 49.4 (slowly) over more than 24hrs before I noticed the unusually low hashrate on my 3070Ti. (Other card in the system is a 3080Ti).
I wanted to know what caused it, so I restarted and checked the log and it seems to have begun after a temporary pool connection error:
"20220306 00:14:29 ERROR: No connection with us1.ethermine.org:4444, retry after 10 seconds"
I have included a copy of the log file (cut/pasted to the start of the problem)
P.S:- Log, (cut & pasted) from the start of the issue. t-rex log (slow lhr decrease).txt
