API Readonly on #654

Hey I've been trying to make some changes/tunning through the web but as a result I always get the "Edit config error (API readonly mode is activated)"error. How may I switch this option off on my .bat file? thanks

So I'm still lost, I see the config example but the "example" is 223 lines so I'm not really sure where to put what. I've always just run things via the CLI and have never really used a config file, can I continue to run things purely by the CLI and just use certain lines in the config file to enable the API? Or heck, run the API check via the CLI?

So, I don't mean to be rude but you just repeated what you said.

As I said, what isn't covered in the link is step 3 is not fleshed out. It says to put the output as a parameter in my .bat/.sh script...but as I stated above the "example" script is 223 lines, so where exactly do I put it in the script? Do I just literally paste the key in with no other parameters? Does using the example script impact my miner in any other way that I need to know about such as sending mined ETH to a different wallet?

I just need further explanation on what exactly I'm supposed to do with my generated API key in step 3, where am I supposed to put it in my config file?

Is config stored on my computer? If yes, where? I'd rather edit it with notepad than... this. I tried to do like the https://github.com/trexminer/T-Rex/wiki/WebUI#security said, but T-Rex always says "wrong password"
