cant unlock lhr 3060ti evga triple fan (dual mining ergo) #782

I have the 3060 ti triple fan. And i cant get it to unlock, it just keeps trying to but never gets it. I have tried almost everything, like trying lhr tune values or letting it run from 100 to 10 lhr tune with no succes. also boosting or locking core and mem clocks or using different power limits. i feel like there has to be a sweet spot for it to work but i just cant find it. if anyone has any tips, please leave them below.

What's your system OS, driver and OC settings? Paste some code here!

I also have an identical issue and have tried everything OP above state. 3060ti since only 8gb can only dual mine erg and eth. Per lhr read.me need to set your setting such that when you run each algo individually it does not lock up. Power requirements for erg are much lower to avoid lhr lock, between 41% and 52% cclk -500 mclk 1100. Each of these settings is a higher value in eth so should just be able to port the settings to dual from erg and it works.

The problem is that in these low pl on eth with these cards the miner is reporting target hashrates in the 40s when the actual is in the low 30s, which makes the miner think it is lhr locked since its nowhere near target, causing it to lock indefinitely and keep lowering the lhr tune. I suspect target hashrates need to be aligned correctly in order for EVGA 3060ti FTW3 Ultra to be able to dual mine. Tried multiple gpu drivers, using windows 10 latest build.

Update.... Ive actually managed to get it working, but with bad results. It works with an lhr tune of 14, and some drastic overclocks. but the problem is is that i only get 11 mhs on eth en maybe 70 on ergo wich is less than a ragular 3060. so it is more profitable with the new nb miner update that gives me around 47 mhs on eth. I use the latest version of windows 10. And the trex unlock with dual mining will work on almost -500 cclock and 1500 on the mclock with a power limit of like 57.

If u have more questions or tips leave them below. ty

I have 10 EVGA FTW3 Ultra and 2 hynix 8 samsung memory. Impossible to get 1500 mclk on any hynix. Furthermore, I can get 435mhs on eth solo lhr tune 72 avg (1380mhs solo on erg lhr tune 99). The purpose of dual mining alleges to unlock the full potential of the cards doing 30/70 split such that the profit of such is greater than mining either coin solo. I would say even though you got settings that stabilize, this is not working as intended and a fix is warranted so dual mining makes more.

@piepsieboy2 don't go on that road, stop wasting resources with dual mining and concentrate in one coin (ergo)!

@piepsieboy2 in windows is tricky (if you open teamviewer or else will kick the lhr) but possible.

You need to know what your working with! So with nvidia-smi do something: nvidia-smi -q -d SUPPORTED_CLOCKS

If you don't know where it is, do where nvidia-smi at terminal (cmd)

Output that file to desktop if needed nvidia-smi -q -d SUPPORTED_CLOCKS >"c:\users\%username%\desktop\CLOCKS.txt"

You need to find the balance between your GPU, CLOCKS and LHR value.

Some points from the developer at ergo wiki and at release section in the fourth paragraph

Windows 10 125MH/S - EVGA 3060 XC V1 ( VC 975 / CC 1770 / MC 1300 / PL 90 ) -> NVIDIA 470.05 beta 154/5MH/S - GIGABYTE 3060 TI LHR ( CC 1515 / MC 1200 / LHR 92 ) - > TREX 24.5 | NVIDIA 496.49

Linux (HiveOS) 155/6MH/S - GIGABYTE 3060 TI LHR ( CC 1560 / MC 1250 / LHR 92 ) - > TREX 24.5 | NVIDIA 495.44 | 5.4.0-hiveos beta

piepsieboy2, if I am not mistaken, wishes to dual mine not solo mine erg per title, I am guessing if he needed help on solo mining erg the title would reflect such.

Hopefully in next trex release we will see some improvements to lhr and likewise with dual mining stability to achieve more profitability than either coin solo. Would be nice to get lhr 74 on trex with eth at ~45 mhs and get 26% of the hashrate of erg ~36mhs. I thought that was the point as of now this feature not useful on 3060 ti.

@piepsieboy2 I tried Nbminer and it is stable at lhr 74/74.5 giving 22mhs more per my rig---thanks! Prefer trex for a variety of reasons but you cant turn down 20mhs.
