In the ad-hoc checklist Dreissena rostriformis bugensis is a species and not recognized by GBIF Backbone: http://api.gbif.org/v1/species/148437910.
In alien macroinvertebrates Dreissena rostriformis bugensis is a species and recognized by GBIF Backbone:
http://api.gbif.org/v1/species/140562945.
I find it quite illogical, or is it a new example where taxonomic logic is defeating me?
If such kind of situations are possible, then I should improve trias::verify_taxa() (see PR https://github.com/trias-project/trias/pull/21) in order to tackle them appropriately.
Found it! In the ad hoc, the taxonRank is incorrectly assigned to “species”, rather than subspecies. Will correct in spreadsheet and should be fine in next update.
