no problem, only I am not familiar with darwin core terms...
so enlighten me... we need to make a list of the ones that would be appliccable, we better stick to the GRIIS vocabulary of terms as closely as we can
The terms used in WRIMS are a good start in my opinion:
term | example |
---|---|
ID | 467513 |
Kingdom | Animalia |
Phylum | Arthropoda |
Class | |
Order | Sessilia |
Family | Balanidae |
Genus | Amphibalanus |
Taxon | Amphibalanus variegatus |
PlaceName | Belgian part of the North Sea |
Distribution_id | 814217 |
Note | |
Beginyear | 1997 |
Occurrence | Reported |
Origin | Alien |
Invasiveness | Uncertain |
Reference_id | 190963 |
Reference | Kerckhof, F.; Cattrijsse, A. (2001). Exotic Cirripedia (Balanomorpha) from buoys off the Belgian coast. Senckenbergiana maritima. 31: 245-254. |
The page for this taxon also includes taxonomic details (accepted, etc.) and that the species arrived via shipping. That information is missing from our dataset though. @timadriaens, do we need this?
@timadriaens, if you prefer to use the GRIIS vocabulary, can you post a reference here?
Terms have been defined in this spreadsheet and are listed in README.
Dear Tim I would like you to help to define the main columns tittles (Darwin Core Terms) we would need for the checklist.
