Thanks a lot for your contribution and sorry for not getting back to your earlier. Just can't seem to find my rhythm in 2021.

Could you check if your problem is already solved by #21? I added a proper $HOME for the homeassistant user, which might mean that the XDG_* defaults are enough to take care of #18 as well.

I'm using $HOME instead of $XDG_* too after latest HA update.I have forgotten to update PR. It works for me.
