Do some changes for simultaneously inverted events #2

changes to collect_results and plot_results to work for simultaneously inverted events

Thanks a lot Katy. I fixed this in master with a patch along your lines. Your patch was not yet ready to merge (see above linked Travis-CI run). I will also write a test to guarantee that it will continue to work.

Thanks Tom! It worked for me up to now with my small work around, but of course you know your code better than I do. I will update it as soon as my currently running inversion is done.
