TriCo users want to be able to do Author, Title, Journal, and Subject searches.

Currently the system is built around the keyword search results screen, which 
uses
briefcit.html.  Title and author searches (and others) return results via an
intermediary results page, which often groups results together under one 
heading. 
This means that mobile cat would have to also introduce this intermediary 
results
page, which probably introduces too much complexity for a mobile web site.
