An Error occured while diffing. Exit Code 1 #23

BinDiff 4.0.1 Build15464 working well with IDA Pro 6.4 on Windows 7 64-bit

We have just upgraded to the latest IDA Pro 6.5 on Windows 7 64-bit.

It appears BinDiff is not compatible with the new IDA Pro database

Launching the diff with IDAPro6.5 database, about 12 seconds, there is a dialog
displaying: "An Error occured while diffing. Exit Code 1"...

Is there a newer version of BinDiff.
Thanks
Kiem

In case you are starting the diff via the BinDiff Java UI, have you set the new
IDA path in the "General Settings" dialog? If the old IDA path is not existing
anymore this error is expected.

Anyhow, the error message should be improved here. Currently there is only a
patch for the JAVA UI that fixes only a few issues, mostly project tree related
things.

Thanks for the reply and the hint.
Yes indeed it's BinDiff Java UI, reconfigured the correct IDA path.
This time we ran into this error:

E:\mySpace\binary1 vs binary2 export.idc: Runtime error on E:\mySpace\binary1
vs binary2 export.idc:6 Attempt to call undefined function BinExport2Diffs

Please advise.
Merry Christmas,
Kiem

Seems like you have an old exporter plugin. Have you updated it correctly?

Improved error message for those cases.

Same issue with IDA 6.5.140116 and BinDiff 4.1.0 (Aug 11 2014).

I don't understand why, all settings in BinDiff are correct.
Please advise.
