Chromium 58 on Ubuntu 3D rendering issues #24

My version of Chromium recently updated from 53 to 58 on my Ubuntu box and now I see rendering problems with the Astro Pi model. The rendering defects are accompanied by the sliders and pitch/roll/yaw bars appearing and disappearing rapidly while the model is being moved.

The rendering problems are:

I wonder if something they changed broke everything?

Here's my Chromium version details:

I've found similar parts-of-the-UI appearing and disappearing behaviour when looking at the TriDiv.com Xwing example.
