I am playing the map as Sweden (a minor power) against the hard AI for all other players.
I think, I was playing more or less in the optimal way (defeating Denmark early, close to capturing the capitols of Russia and France in turn 20). But there seems to be no way to stop the Ottoman Empire (the only remaining force of the other anti-Habsburg alliance).
I am under the impression, that the Ottoman empire lacks a focused enemy. Lithuania/Poland and Habsburg are busy dealing dealing with their strong neighbors (Russia and France), while the Ottoman Empire can focus on these two distracted players. The Italian States are weak and loose relevance quickly.
I could imagine, that the following changes could help a bit:
improve defenses (e.g. more units or add a (half) castle) in Romania 19
this production facility is lost in the second turn and shifts the production balance in this area strongly towards the Ottoman Empire
add a second Habsburg Capital in Spain
this would at least prevent the collapse of the empire when Vienna is lost (here: in turn 19)
Attached you find a save game. Maybe its history is of use for illustrating my description.
