Back/Forward axis not kept on pause #24

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Moving your head towards the cam (zoom/move forward) in X-Plane 10 and then
pausing linuxtrack

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest Beta from downloadpage, OSX 10.7, X-Plane 10

Hello!

It seems that when pausing linuxtrack in XPlane with the newest beta, where
6DOF has been introduced (I think that's the reason), pausing linuxtrack brings
the view back to standard position (forward/back axis). So, if you have a look
deeper on an instrument in you cockpit and you want to change something on it,
so you pause your trackIR (I use TrackIR 4), you get pushed back to standard
position and after unpausing back again in front of you instrument. Seems that
this axis does not get saved on pause.

Thanks for you help,
Bernhard.

Hello Bernhard,
thank you for the report...
Quickly looking at the plugin code, I think I know what is going on...
If my suspicion is correct, the same effect happens to all three translation
axes.
I'll try to (can't promise though) fix the problem tonight and I'd provide you
with the fixed plugin to verify the fix (unfortunately no XPlane10 on 2009 Mac
Mini ;).
Kind regards,

Michal

Hello Bernhard,
here is the plugin. Install it the following way - Ctrl-click on the ltr_gui
application and select "Show contents".
Go to the Contents/Frameworks and rename the file xlinuxtrack9.0.dylib to
comething else. Then unpack the one I sent you and place it to the
Contents/Frameworks directory (effectively replacing the old one, but you can
go back in case of problems).
When done, try running XPlane and try to reproduce the problem...
Please let me know, if it helped or not.
Kind regards,

Michal

I Noticed that this hasn't been discussed since summer but I wanted to let you
know that I had this same issue, and the updated dylib file fixed it.

The fixed plugin is part of latest universal packages (mac version is available
separately). Should you still experience the problem, feel free to reopen this
ticket or open a new one.
Kind regards,

Michal
