Pitch and yaw reversed for TrackIR 5 #40

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Tracking Window
2. Run 3D Model test
3. With TrackClip Pro, turn head left/right or up/down
4. Notice the rotations on screen are reversed

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expecting screen to turn right when head turns right etc.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Linux Mint 14. TrackIR 5 with TrackClip Pro. Not sure where to check LinuxTrack
ver.

Please provide any additional information below.

Hi,
could you please check that you have the Track Clip Pro selected in the second
pane?
Also on the first pane, Device orientation is set to normal, right?
In case both of the above points didn't make the problem disappear, could you
attach your logfile here? (last pane, View logfile, paste to a text file...).
Kind regards,

Michal

I have had the same issue. When I start the TrackIR 5 off of the v0.99.10 with
the following settings:

Device Setup:
   TrackIR/SmartNav
   Top to the right

Model Setup:
   NP Track Clip

Tracking Setup:
   Default

In the Tracking Window, when I start the camera in 3D mode, the Yaw and Pitch
functions are reversed.

So when I turn my head left the screen moves up, when I turn my head right the
screen moves down. When I look up the screen turns right, when I look down the
screen turns left.

This doesn't happen in Normal mode - am I using the Top Right incorrectly?

Thanks in advance.
Dave

Hello Dave,
first of all, let me apologize for the late answer - my newborn daughter just
came home, so my free time is quite limited...

I did a quick test and it seems something is working wrong there - I'll take a
look at that as soon as I can and I'll let you know...
Kind regards,

Michal

I just checked-in the fix; I'll release version 0.99.11 in the next few days
and the fix will be in there...

Thank you for reporting the problem!
