I did nothing to the files. I opened the archive, I copied the folder to
ms0:/PSP/GAME

Just to make sure, I overwrote the original download I got from dashhacks.com
with the one in the downloads section here.

If you are still having problems let me know and I can give you an edited
version that doesn't even need xf1.png

This one:

p&can=2&q=

What PSP? I said that. PSP-1000, the Fat one.

It's still giving the error. I'll see if 0.3 is different.

And I doubt not needing xf1.png will fix the problem. I'm betting that xf1 just
happens to be the first image it attempts to load, and it would give the same
error on the other images as well.

Okay, with 0.3, I was able to play the game, but none of the upgrades seemed to
work- I could buy more lives or new characters, but that's it. Also, I
eventually got far enough along in the game that it tried to load "baron.png",
and I got the same crash as reported above, except with "baron.png" instead of
"xf1.png".

As to how to help, the first step would be finding out who's problem it is:

Is the problem caused by the firmware (test it with different CFW/OFW on the
same hardware)?

Is it caused by the hardware (test it with different PSP models with the same
CFW)?

Is it caused by something wrong with my specific PSP (test with a different Fat
PSP with the same CFW)?

Finding out what's to blame is the first step in debugging.

I have tested this on many different psp models and firmwares and I go through
extensive testing before each release... it's not me.

you can't upgrade or buy items yet (take a look at the latest bug list in the
readme to see what I am talking about)

maybe it is a plugin you are running while playing it? That is usually the
answer to problems like these

Could be. I'll have to seee what plugins I have running.
