Outbounds calls get disconnected when call is placed #68

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. select the contact to call
2. click Dial
3. Pickup phone extension

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
You should start hearing the call party ringing but you get the Asterisk's
Goodbye message and get disconnected

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.55 and 1.60 under windows 7 pro and Outlook 2007. asterisk version is 1.4.21.2

Please provide any additional information below.
There were no issues in the installation, it connects to server without problem
and it identifies correctly inbound calls but outbound calls can't be
completed. I added the '9' prefix for outbound calls and I'm getting it in
Asterisk

Not sure if you guys ever resolved this, but here's a possible fix. This has
to do with the outgoing call rules configured in your system. Try going to
Settings>Dialing Rules>Outgoing Prefix>add "1" (or your country code if
different). That solved this for me.

I had the same problem and realized that it had to do with parenthesis which
was used incorrectly in the area code of Greek phone numbers. The area code is
mandatory and the problem stopped when I removed the parenthesis.
Not sure if this helps because it is region specific, but might provide some
clues...
