Calculating Nozzle Mass #34

You should be able to do this almost entirely in inventor. The mass of the phenolic and aluminum parts should be directly available, but the mass of the graphite will have to be calculated using the volume (from inventor) and density (found online).

Nozzle mass Alum casing: 5.682 lbm Alum retainer: 2.532 lbm Alum skirt: 1.408 lbm Phen bottom: 1.560 lbm Phen Top: 1.541 lbm Graphite: 3.360 lbm

Total Mass of Nozzle: 16.083 lbm

These masses were found using the iProperties feature in Inventor for each part. Using data from the graphite used last year, the density was found to be 1.79 g/cm^3
