Funny you should ask. We just requested a wildcard cert for phono.com. WIll post back when it's in place.
schweet! now s.phono.com is a real cdn? who is the host?
Not really. The files are hosted at Voxeo's Orlando datacenter (http://voxeo.com).
Eventually, we'll mirror to their remaining datacenters in Atlanta, Las Vegas, London, Frankfurt, Hong Kong and Singapore.
If you need a "real" CDN you can certainly download the PhonoSDK release and deploy to the CDN of your choice.
Ohh ok. You shouldn't call it a cdn then. In that case, i may use my s3/cloudfront. CDN are not only high speed, but local to the user. What's the current data center?
I wish google would cdn it for you like jquery. A free cdn gives me a little kick back and makes me happy. Especially with your product, where I do have a paid tropo account so I kind of expect it.
Why don't you cname cdn.phono.com to aws or media temple? A cname will kill ssl tho, youd have to use the cdn hostname for ssl which is fine.
One other benefit of using your cdn would be automatic updating. Btw where is the phono mailing list?
Thanks!!
Just wanted to let you know that we have setup SSL on our content servers. So at this time should be cleared to go ahead and use SSL if you need it!
