palib example makefiles do things the hard way

What version of PAlib are you using ?
PAlib061025.zip

You make the PALib example makefiles much more complicated than they need
to be. For example, you can make things much simpler. Instead of:
LIBS := -lnds9
LIBSPA := -lpa9

Just do this:
LIBS := -lpa9 -lnds9

Also, the wifi and fatlibs should be separate, so you could do:
LIBS  := -lpa9 -ldswifi9 -lfat -lnds9

Another example. Instead of doing this:
LIBDIRS       :=      $(DEVKITPRO)/libnds
LIBDIRPA      :=      $(PAPATH)

You should do this:
LIBDIRS       :=      $(DEVKITPRO)/libnds $(PAPATH)
