Why two triangles ?? #8

I am curious that's why the code below draw two triangles rather multiple point ?? Is there special reason @@? https://github.com/trudK45/gxradar_pi/blob/master/src/gxradar_pi.cpp#L1682-L1716

I can't answer this. This part of the code is inherited from Dave Register's gradar code. I just copied it and did not put any effort analyzing it.
