package extension format issue with respect to OpenCPN #9

I am building package on the steps that you mention it give me a build file with .tar.b2 while in OpenCPN you can upload and install plugin with .tar extension. I would glad if you can give some input on this matter.

Just to clarify I have OpenCPN version 5+ following Link Here for installation. Afterward the steps are mentioned in your until make package
