[nextcloud] smbclient for external SMB/CIFS storage #1679

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Adding external SMB/CIFS storage to Nextcloud requires smbclient to be installed.

Describe the solution you'd like It would be great if smbclient was installed by default. An example can be found in nextcloud/docker/.examples.

We do currently not build our own (customised) docker image for Nextcloud and that's also not planned.

Nextcloud developers are utterly incapable of building a decent docker image, so I consider this an upstream layer 8 issue.

If we start building customised images this, it would be as part of our to-be-announced bluefin plans. Or even after bluefin

I agree, I was surprised that they don't include it by default.

@irgendwr I've went ahead and added smbclient to our nextcloud container build process. It should become available tomorrow.
