... I deleted the app and removed [root pool]/ix-applications/releases/freshrss, added it again and it's working ok now suddenly? I guess I must've created a stock TrueNAS freshrss app with the name "freshrss" and when I created another app with the same name, just from Truecharts, it was using the volume of the initially TrueNas app.
rm -rf /mnt/rpool/ix-applications/releases/freshsrss
If you can, please create a freshrss app from Truecharts on your side and see if it's deploying correctly to make sure that I'm not insane
I've not previously installed FreshRSS. Installing the app with all-default settings (browser access via SCALE_IP:APP_PORT) works for me, but the logs still include the line you mentioned:

works for me
Hm, I guess as long as it works it's ok then. Perhaps that line is logged always. Thanks for checking!
EDIT: This is still happening for me after restarts. I just have HDDs in my NAS and of course it's slow, too slow for the healthchecks to succeed. I noticed if I open a shell in the pod and run top
, there's a chown
process at the top with pid 228.
If I use https://stackoverflow.com/questions/821837/ and run ps -fp 228
I see this:
I've tracked down that this chown
is basically just this: https://github.com/linuxserver/docker-freshrss/blob/master/root/etc/s6-overlay/s6-rc.d/init-freshrss-config/run#L37-L39
So for some reason this chown is just (understandably) slow on HDD. The first few tries fail but eventually it succeeds...

Describe the bug
When adding the freshrss app, it doesn't start - it's always stuck in deploying state.

Expected Behavior
The app should deploy correctly

Additional Context
My app pool is on HDD, so it may be related to slowness/race condition or something.
If I open a shell in the container, the file that the logs complain about:
are actually there (ls /var/lib/nginx), so I don't know what the problem is
I've read and agree with the following
