TV Bro already works in portrait mode. It doesn't set a screen orientation, so the OS sets it.
Here's a screenshot I took of TV Bro in portrait mode on my MiBox S while writing this:
Note: This is really a separate issue, but in case you're affected I thought I should mention it. I tried it on a phone and noticed that on some screen resolutions the URL input isn't visible, which makes it inaccessible via mouse or touch input, and while it is still accessible by keyboard, you have to know where it is, as there is no visual indication of where to find it.
I am hoping this would be possible.
I have several dashboards viewable on the web using apps like grafana or home assistant. I would love to see them in portrait (vertical) mode as they look a lot better. Currently we use either a raspberry pi or just a vertical monitor hooked to a computer to do this. If a browser can support portrait mode then no raspberry pi or computer would be necessary and would be very simple on any smart tv. Just mount the tv sideways, go to browser app, set to portrait mode, go to website. This app already basically views in a kiosk type mode anyway.
I plan on mounting the tv sideways and just have it always on this website. It auto refreshes itself.
