Remove the tmux integration #4

It seems that overcomplicates the logic, i dont use tmux personally and i think tmux is enough by itself to be used inside a terminal

systo commented 4 years ago

Is there a way to make the tmux logic modular, and therefore toggle-able in the settings? Just asking as a user of Tmux

rossburton commented 3 months ago

The main reason I use iterm2 is the tmux integration, so whilst I'm interested in a less bloaty fork of iterm2 removing tmux integration would be a blocker.

Thanks for your feedback. I will not remove tmux sipport then. Is the current tmux integrarion working and useful for you right now in therm? Because i never find it useful and i prefer not to depend on it as i barely use tmux and always use it remotely. Maybe cleaning code and simplifying the integration would be a better option the

Personally, I use iterm mostly with remote tmux sessions. My ssh config auto-runs tmux -CC when I ssh to my build machine or servers so iterm automatically opens all the remote sessions as tabs.
