We assigned this issue to Christoph in order to clarify what this task is about.
Thanks for assigning the issue to me, Zarah! What did I want with this feature? The idea behind is that we know better how crowded the cars are. It is similar to passanger counters that are used in the Western bus systems. With that information, we can tell the user which lines to prefer because they have more space. And we can tell about places and times where specific lines are always full.
The idea was that the users searches for direction, goes to the street where she/he can hop on and waits for the next trufi. When the trufi comes, she/he can "check-in" that means she/he tells us which line (e.g. 103) she took, which concrete trufi (they have a number, e.g. 55) and whether it is empty, full or something in between. This check-in will also help us to see which route was taken from the results; how long it took to take the trufi; it enables future big features like a payment thru check-in. And when the person checks-in, we could also ask if we could enable the user tracking, so that we can verify the route.
The quesiton is: When do we ask for that information? I don't have a good answer for this. You?
CBBT As passenger, I would like to check-in into a specific vehicle/car, e.g. car 55 of route 103: Saying which route I take, which car number it is, and if it is full/empty.
Our translation: The user wants to help another users. Wants to give input on the topics above.
