Sound Recorder does not work #28

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click sound recorder application.
2. Click record.
3. Click  stop.
4. The application is terminated.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
This application should start to record the sound from MIC and transfer
data to *.3gp when clicking stop. However, the application is terminated
when clicking stop. logcat shows:

He solved by using the alsa_amixer command to enable the capture device. Also, 
need to create a symbolic link to alsa_arecord from alsa_aplay.

I m getting this error on using alsa_arecord,created by sym link to alsa_aplay

I am also trying the play the audio through the FAST TOOL , I am getting same 
error :-

Can you please give me detailed steps to overcome that error.

My project is stopped due to that.
