dash in URL path breaks _parse_www_authenticate

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. change "base" in httplib2test.py to base = 
'http://bitworking.org/pro-jects/httplib2/test/'
2. run tests
3. FAILED (failures=45, errors=7)

or try:
h = httplib2.Http(".cache")
resp, content = h.request("http://example.org/sub-path/", "GET")
-> throws error:
